This chick hatched 4 days early! It hatched sometime over night so it's been at least 10 hours and it looks like this. It will be all alone if move it into the brooder now.. I'm wondering if I should leave it in the incubator longer? Does it look dry enough to move yet?

Four days ahead of schedule is early!
Are you hatching bantams by chance? They often hatch sooner than standard chicks.

If it's a regular standard breed... Could a broody hen have been incubating some eggs prior to setting them in the incubator?

If the answer to both those questions is no, and it just popped early, I would check that it's navel is closed just to make sure it's ready to move. From this view, it looks fine to move to the brooder. But underneath where the yolk connected to the body needs to be closed up first. Don't see anything but a fluffy lil booty? Go ahead and move em out.

If it peeps too loudly and seems lonely for company, you can do a few things to tide it over while the others hatch. for example you may want to let it eat from your hand, provide a stuffed cuddly toy, or give it a mirror to look at.

Their dad is a speckled Sussex and the mom's are either 1-speckled Sussex, 2- Easter egger, or 3-white leghorn. That particular egg was greenish blue so it must have been one of our 2 Easter eggers. I guess it's possible one of the hens sat on that egg and I didn't see it, but I've never seen one act "broody". I moved the chick into my brooder not long ago and it's hanging out under the brooder heater.
