is this cochin a cockerel?

This is a 6 week old self blue Cochin bantam. It developed the red coloring in the comb at about 3 weeks. I believe it is a cockerel, but have never had any before and want to make sure before I give him away. We have another that has a tiny light comb, so when comparing them I can't help but to assume this is a male. In the top photo, he's having a stand off with our easter egger pullet!

He's going to be a beauty. Pretty sure he is based on the brighter color (early) and I don't know but he's pretty nervy standing up to that hen. I think he's saying, "Cause I'm the boss, applesauce!"

yeah, I hate to tell you, but I have a black cochin that is about 2 months old, and her comb isnt even close to being as big or red as his... he's adorable though!
