The kids chicken Karen hatched some eggs i got from my sister and packed all the empties together into a tight one egg sized clump. We raised alot of chickens when I was a kid and I dont remember seeing this before.

No, i made the lid too heavy and the nesting boxes on the coop too high. I have to hold the lid for them. They weren't around to do it last night before bed and I found them while they were still sleeping this morning. The chicks started hatching yesterday but I didnt reach in there until I saw six chicks this morning. I didn't want her taking the chicks off the nest if I bothered her.

She had two other egg shells under her that she stuffed the little part into the big part too
