I was checking all of my duck eggs last night and this one stood out to me bc of the embryo(correct me if it’s something else). I don’t know if it’s dead or alive, or how far along it is. I can’t tell if there are any veins, movements, a heartbeat, or a blood ring. I had an egg yesterday that had a tiny embryo in it bc i was intending to use it(not the embryo) for baking, but i’m pretty sure it was dead and I wasn’t aware that it was there before i cracked it. here’s the duck egg that stood out to me below:
duck egg
Can anyone tell me if it’s dead, or even fertile?
It doesn’t have a foul smell to it, as far as I can tell.
Edit: I forgot to mention that it’ll float if I move the egg. I’m certain that it’s dead.

are you collecting eggs daily? Those eggs have been setting for more than a few days... You need to make sure your hen isnt broody or sitting on the nest before taking eggs, and collect them daily so she doesnt have time to incubate :/
