In the Brooder
I have six khaki campbell ducks who are now around 12 weeks old. And Pots has always been... a little special. She would often take a tumble when preening her behind after a swim, a problem none of the other ducklings had. I worried about neurological issues or niacin deficiency, but in the end, she grew up the same as the others and has no balance problems now that I can see. But I have noticed that she seems, ah, differently shaped than the others, which may account for why she struggled a little preening as a duckling.
Is this duck just weirdly shaped, or should I be concerned? Let me know if more pictures are needed. The ducks aren't the most cooperative models (this is actually a still from a video).
