Once a hen begins to lay the color stays close the same. Maybe a bit lighter or darker. Usually lighter. different hens would be needed to lay the different colors. With EE's thats part of the fun. You never know just what you are going to get. Gloria Jean

Those are just beautiful, and I hope I can have such a fine assortment some day. Thanks so much for sharing those.

I bought chickens because I LOVE the EEs and had one when I was a kid. Wanted my kids to experience green eggs. I'm not sure they believe me yet that chickens can truly lay colors other than brown and white.

Hope they learn soon, as my EEs are of age to start laying any day!
