So I bought what I thought was terramycin on amazon for my girls but appears not to be, and I'm not sure it's safe.
The listing said it's for pets including birds, but the listing has been taken down and I'm finding the same product with different ingredients on other country's amazon sites.

It's called Terrapet. It has neomycin and bacitracin as the ingredients

They've deleted the amazon page and any information on it, but this site has some info (doesn't list birds):
https://www.terrapetllc.com/terrapet-nedi̇r
https://www.polsallc.com/about-3

I can find neomycin and bacitracin pills on poultry dmv but nothing on eyes/ointments.
Thanks!

I found the Terrapet eye medicine on Amazon and read the reviews. Even if it is an equivalent of Neosporin, your hens would be okay. Many members (myself included) have used non-pain relief triple antibiotics (like Neosporin) in a pinch, and no bird of mine experienced any negative effects from it. Terramycin is very good for eye issues though, so stockup on it when you find it. Only my personal opinion here, but I think it won’t cause your hens any harm.

Can you please post a photo of the exact product you in hand = the box, the tube, the writing on the tube and box?? That would be helpful:)

The only thing that "worries" me about the Terrapet in the photo is the ingredients in the PHOTO on the box. "Neom + Bacit" is questionable. I do realize that in the reviews, some of the photos show a box with the full name like Neomycin or Bacitracin, but if that's not printed on the tube then I'd question what it was.

At that point, I think I'd just go to Walmart, CVS, etc. and get a tube of Original Neosporin. "Hopefully" the ingredients would be true?
You just never know anymore what is real or fake it seems.
