I'm a newbie when it comes to chickens. A family friend had to rehome her hens so I took them. I got them 2 days ago. They are all eating and drinking fine but today I notice this hen doing this. Can someone help me? She was like this for the 5 min I had been out and after that moved and went and got food and water. Im looking for as much knowledge as my brain can take. What is this? How can I treat it? So I have to treat all 6 hens?

Gapeworm are rare in chickens. However in this instance, I recommend that you get a fecal sample from her and put it in a ziplock bag. Then take it to a vet and have them look for gapeworm eggs under microscope, or any other type of worm eggs for that matter. Capillary worms may be a possibility.
