Is this just iris colour or something wrong in an Mareksy kinda way?

I've got a load of chicks of different breeds and colours, some of whom have muddy coloured irises.

I'm hoping it's a common feature of lavender or mottled or splash or something, not the 'thing that shall not be named".

They were all vaccinated at hatch, and I bought them at 3/4 days old.

Here is one of them.

They are 7 weeks old now and happy and healthy (so far).

If they were vaccinated and everyone is acting healthy and happy then I wouldn't worry.

Some of ours had green eyes at seven weeks, (including our lavender orpingtons) they changed to brown at around eight weeks. The color yours has looks a lot like ours; I'm sure they're fine!

I agree that I would just wait a bit, and watch their eyes. There is nothing you can do anyway, if it were turn out to be ocular Mareks. I doubt that it is, but it would be interesting to see picture later on when the chicken is more mature. Good luck.

I'll be watching them closely. I can't remember how many of them have these blotchy irises but I'm going to check them again.

Also going to put a preventative dose of baicalin in their feed, just in case.
