Hello,

Does that look like the beginning of leg mites? I've never had this issue before so it's hard for me to tell. There's skin overgrowth by the nail on two of my quails. One was slightly bleeding by the nail too yesterday. They aviary has been a bit humid lately due to excessive rain..

If it is, what natural treatment do you recommend and any trick not to traumatize them catching them repetitively to treat it?

Thanks!

I’m no expert but I would say yes. I’d cover all your birds legs with Vaseline and see if that helps.
<Shouting> Yo experts what do you think ?

A tsp of DE in their dirt bath might help too. Don't add to much because it can cause problems if they breathe a bunch of it in.
They already have a bath of anis, broken shells and DE. :(

I washed their feet with warm water and gentle soap, and I applied Vaseline and coconut oil on it. Hopefully it helps
