is this medicated chick starter?

cut and pasted from that site...

MOS:
Is a natural product containing Mannonoligosahrides and Beta Glucans. These natural compounds help to prevent infection and spread of disease-causing bacteria by natural stimulation of the animals immune system and binding toxins. MOS has been proven effective in cattle, swine, poultry, rabbit, pet foods, and many others. Extensive research has proven MOS to be effective in diets with or without growth promoters.

so that means this whole time I don't have the medicated food at all??? so is this why a couple of my chicks act sick??? uGH Im so aggrevated. I don't want to toss the bag of food and get a whole other bag of food. funds are low ya know?

First of all, lots of folks feed UNmedicated starter. Even with the amprolium, they can still contact cocci, which means the oocysts in the soil have overwhelmed their systems. You do not have to change feeds. What symptoms are they showing and have they been in contact with the soil yet?

they were outside a few times for short periods...

I wasn't sure but I thought maybe perhaps one had blood in the poop yesterday... it was a little piece that looked like raw hamburger...

oh the symptoms... they are eating and drinking and pooping... they just are puffing up with their tail down low like...

yes the MOS as far as I can read is for growth in broilers
and yes you need to buy some
amproylium called corid if you can get it
here is my opinion the way I used the liquid corid

The speckled hen says to use 2-3 tbsp per gallon but my vet said this way, I never had any problems with it

for the kind you have it is 9.6% and says
16+ fluid ozs of corid to 100 gallon of water
100 divided into 16= 6-3/4 ozs of corid to a gallon
so guess speckled hen is right 2-3 tbsp of corid
Ours was a stronger kind so you would have to double the amt I have given

So as a tablespoon is equal to liquid oz then it would be tablespoons in stead of teaspoons
I will have to make my recomendations stronger. Thanks
if very bad coccidiosis use 2 tsp of corid for 5 days then 1 tsp for 2 more days
and they got better

I always liked to put some in wet mash as the sick chicks would eat the medicated wet mash and get started on the medication
1 qts dry crumbles
2 qts water
in the water add 1 tbsp of corid or 1 tsp of sulmet which ever you are using
feed this two mornings at rate of 2 tsp per chick

then put the corid in the waterer also using 2-3 tbsp of liquid corid per gallon

if using sulmet put it in the waterer ans 1/2 pkg of red jello to a gallon of water
the jello sweetens the sulmet so they will drink it

and also feed wet mash probiotic

1 qt of dry crumbles
1-1/2 qts of milk any kind
1/4 cup of yoguart

as this will restore the gut flora

also when done with the medication
in their wateer put 2 tbsp of ACV to gallon of wter
helps the gut flora balance out the damage the medication did to the gut
any other questions email me PM

I used to give Sulmet for cocci, but had to re-treat them and it was hard on their gut. Corid blasted the cocci out in less than a week with my last batch of youngsters. I'll always keep it on hand now.

Where are you getting your Corid from? TSC used to carry it, but no longer does. We use to used Corid for our lambs when they had the Scours. Corid work great for them, but I had to get it from my vet.

that is the problem
the corid company went to selling it to feed companies so it took it off the market in the powdered form
and now only sells it by the gallon
many places can't get it and that is why
you can try
