Is this normal? Just got a new duck...

It looks like a regular white Pekin duck. I am guessing female, because no curly tail feathers. I've never had a duck before, and the lady was giving me 4 guineas and told me I had to take the duck, too.

Anyway, all of the feathers on the duck's neck stand straight out. Like they've been ruffled backwards. Is this just a weird fluke, or is it a specific kind? My camera isn't working, so I can't post pics.

I have an Appleyard drake that often has his neck feathers all fluffed out. It is probably fine.
