Is This Normal?

I have a hen that has a spot above her eye that is bare and red! Is this normal?

Did you hatch her or buy her? Our barred rock hen had that but it was cause the roo kept pecking the feathers out when he mated with her.

I bought them already hatched. I think they were a week or two old.
