We have a flock of geese and one of the breeding pairs just had some babies. One of the babies became lame for some reason and the parents have abondoned it. We took it in and am now nursing it back to health. It is doing really well and is back to normal. The gosling is now about 3-4 weeks old. I noticed in the past couple of days, it has been plucking its fuzz on his right side by the wing. Is this normal? Is it doing this so his feathers can grow in or is this a more serious problem? I really appreciate any advice or reassurance that this is what is expected.
