I have been giving electrolytes to my ducklings in their water. I also add a tiny amount of niacin that comes from the capsules in the bottle to the water as well. I read earlier that some use electrolytes and some brewers yeast or... I know that brewers yeast carries alot more than just niacin so this may all be in a lump sum where as I divide the two. I have had no problems with my ducklings so far but just wanted to make sure this was good.

I have been doing this for about a week since I got them. When do I need to stop? Will they always need niacin or is it to a certain point? Thanks.

Is the feed you are using not providing enough for their requirements???

If they are growing well and not showing signs that they are deficient it is up to you to decide what is right for your ducklings- You are the one caring for them. I use vitamins in the water for the first two days of life and when they are laying- Or if I think they need a bit of a boost in winter. I usually use a multi vitamin powder mixed with the water.
