Is this silkie a roo?

This baby is about 14 weeks old. Was sold as a pullet but I think it might be a rooster. I’ve only had two silkie hens so I don’t have any real experience. Thoughts?

Yes, that is definitely a cockerel. Sorry, it’s a bummer, but silkies are my favorite chicken, whether it’s a rooster or a hen. They are usually super sweet, docile, and make great pets. I think you should keep him if you’re able to.

I actually have a black silkie pullet that has the bronze-tinted neck feathers, just like him. He’s pretty!
