I have a Muscovy duck about 20 months old. She had her first season this year and lay two clutches. She has had this “loose skin” ever since. The other girls don’t have this. What is it and should I do something about it? She doesn’t seem to be bothered by it. (She is also malting.

She's very pretty. 🙂 Are you referring to the fatty lobe on her abdomen? It looks normal to me. Laying Muscovy ducks often develop one.
Yes that’s what I mean. I was just worried it’s a hernia or something. Thank you for putting my mind at ease.

It's good that you noticed something was different with your duck - we should always be checking our animals so we notice when there are changes or problems. 👍

As long as she's otherwise normal (eating, pooping, laying, etc.), it sounds like it's just a lobe. Take care.
