As this young roo is growing hackles, some look barred and I was wonderig if he was a splash cuckoo, or just splash with trashy barring bleeding through. Here he is, just standing, and below is a detail pic of some of his feathers. On his tail, some of the grey areas are not barred, but big, solid markings of gray, which is what confuses me.
