Is This The End?

I have a seven year old hen that is in bad shape today. She seems to not be able to keep her balance. not eating, just laying down. Has anyone seen this before?

She sounds like she's very weak! Have you tried to give her any vitamins?

Sorry to hear she's not doing well...

I just put some feed in front of her and she ate it. Thats a good sign. I'm going to try and get her to drink some water in a while.

Thanks. Seven years ago I got four hens (barred rock) and now I'm down to my last two. They have all been treated very well and I know that they have had a very high quality
of life.

She made it through the night and ate some this morning. Still too weak to get out of the nest.
