Is this water safe?

I noticed one of my water containers was leaking and it had a few cracks on it. I used a plastic soldering iron to melt the existing plastic to cover the cracks. It worked and it doesn't leak any more. Would this make the water unsafe?

It shouldn't. You didn't change the chemistry of the plastic, just re-sealed it.
