this is what a three week old silkie is supposed to look like right, I am new to silkies.

I don't think that is a silkie. I have raised many silkies from egg to adulthood and none of mine have looked like that. That has to many feathers and not enough fluff. Not sure what it is. Hope someone here can tell you the breed.

Your silkie appears to be a mix, their feathers are supposed to be fluffy like fur. Here's a picture of mine.

Could you post a better pic of your chick. Then we might be able to see the "fur" better if it is a silkie.

he has 5 toes and the comb of a silkie

but there is a possibility of him being part Old English Bantam

I am thinking it's mixed. It's just not fluffy enough to be a full Silkie.

It's a mix the wings look exactly the same as my BO's wing feathers.


The blue one in the front is my blue orpington.
