Is This What They Mean By 'Broody?'

Interesting isn't it? Mine will get up to eat but that is all. Day and night she is on the nest. It just cracks me up that she is sitting on a golf ball. Yesterday my hands got cold so I stuck them under her to warm them up. Other than a BBBrrrrrrurrrr sound, she didn't mind.

I dont know is she is broody or not...i wouldnt say she is broody just because she growls on the nest...

I have a bunch of hens who PUFF up really big and trill violently when i come to get eggs or another hen gets to close..but the lay there egg stand up wait till the pains gone.(lol)and leave..and they constantly reposition their self on the eggs to make sure theyll all be warm, and stuff..and they always get up off the nest and keep laying.i wouldnt say she is broody till she sits,sits..
