I have a hideous sand filter tank on my property. We used to use a well for water but in the summer it always went dry so we got city water. So, we now have this thing sitting around. It really bugs me to have this eye sore just sitting behind my pump-house. So, I've been thinking, would it be worth turning into a little coop? With paint it wouldn't be half as ugly. It is 2 feet wide, by 3 ft 8 inches in length, and is 3 feet tall. Here's a pic of it:

What you see on the top of it is the lid (the sand filter is upside down, with opening on the ground). The bottom that is facing up right now is solid and keeps rain and weather out. Any recommendations? Thoughts? I do not have a lot of money to spend on this but my dad is very good with tools and could probably work something out. Anything would be better than how it is now. No one wants it and there is no junk yard to take it.
