Is wry neck contagious?

I have a chick tht is 3 days old and has developed wry neck. I am giving him polyvisol in his water....some times he's good others not so good.....it is contagious? How long till i should see improvement?

Wry neck is a deficiency, so no it is not contagious. But those affected act strange so the other birds may attack. It is best to keep them separate.I have not had good results helping them, but others say it can be done. Do a search on wry neck in the illness section. There's lots of good info there. Good luck, hope your bird gets better.

ty i had an adult silkie tht had wry neck who never recovered....this is a baby out of my first hatch.....gonna see what i can find out ty for the advise )
