A couple of months ago, I purchased a Hova-Bator 1602N (still air).
I asked the person should I purchase a bator with a fan. He said it
wasn't necessary. I started reading and researching and hands down,
everyone reccomends a fan for a better even temp. I ordered a fan
and installed it myself. It worked great and was very quite.
If you walked into the room, you would never know that the incubator
was on except for the red light on the top.
I also read where it was good to have two incubators to where
more than one hatch could be going and also use the other bator
as a hatchery to keep the other clean. I decided to purchase the
Genesis 1588 Hova-Bator, just plug it in, add a little water, and let
it do it's job. It does great, holds a steady temp. but the thing that is
bothering me is, the fan motor has a high pitch whine noise that is running
me crazy. I have the bator in a spare bed room, but I have to keep the door close now, because the fan motor is so loud.
Does anyone else that has a 1588 notice this noise?
