We have 3 Isa Brown chickens. 8 months we have had the chickens- one chook always lays a cream coloured egg, while the other two lay a nice golden brown.

We purchased the chooks from a chicken farm that was of very poor quality and have had trouble with mites. I am worried our chook is crook and this is why her eggs are of a different shade to the others.

Below is a photo comparing the different chickens eggs. Any advice or suggestions would be of great help. Its 38 degrees here and the chooks are cooling off under the house or i would upload a photo of them. Cheers

Are you wanting to know if this is normal? If so, all my ISA's lay a different shade of brown. I've even gotten almost white eggs before! To me, the color doesn't matter so long as they taste yummy!:drool If I sell a carton though, I try to give a little bit of the same color at least...

Yes i was wondering if this is normal. Thats alot of relief.
Thanks alot

Chickens from the same breed, or hybrid as you have, will lay different shades. My egg box looks like a party, as I have almost every shade of white to cream to tan to pinkish tan to light brown, and then the one mint green. LOL I need more egg colors! I need everybody to start laying again so I can get a full range! LOL
