Isolated incident of rooster aggression

Long time lurker, first post. So my 1.5 year old well manner silkie rooster attacked my foot today… he kept coming after me, he’s always docile and lets me handle him. Don’t judge cuz it’s June, but I had on some green/red striped elf pj pants on and I think they triggered him somehow?!? Went back out later in a different outfit and no problems, held him per usual although I was the skittish one after getting a couple good pecks. This is the strangest thing. I’ve been raising chickens for years and I am stumped. Has anyone else noticed these behaviors or can roosters be triggered by colors?

Many types of animals can be affected by visual stimuli. My rooster hates my white and gray plaid pants but ignores my 'orange foxes with red santa hats' and you'd think he's have an issue with the bright colors of the second pants.
He also hates my brown cowboy boots.
