So I finally got my wood today and started the arduous task of rebuilding my coup. We got our chickens from my aunt originally at the start of the plague. Just two and we threw together a small coup out of stuff we had. Then I later rebuilt the actual house part. Now it's time to build the run bigger for the additional three chicks im raising right now.
This is made especially difficult By the fact that I have to build the new one around the old one while the girls are still living in it. I dont have room while staying within ordnances to build the new one else where then tear down the old.
The new one is going to be HUGE for just 5 girls. The two new sides you see here are 8feet and it going to go on the long side 11feet to enclose the house.
You can see the old coup in there. Its an old dog run. About 3 feet wide and maybe 8 long all together. The girls can barly maneuver around the food and water. I told mom it was to small from the get go, but of course it's just fine.
Got a lot done today gonna go grab some more stuff tomarrow. I'm hopping to have it done in week. But after tomarrow it's supposed to pour for like 4 days straight so well have to see.
