It disappeared

Just before dark I turned the chicks heat light back on in the outside brooder. Checked this morning and one is gone.

All I can think is it was a snake nothing was knocked over or disturbed at all.

What is your brooder? Can you get it predator proofed today? If it was a snake it will be back for more.

It is an old rabbit hutch I will make it so nothing can get in. I was more worried about raccoons is why I had it at the back of the house and not behind the shop. We do have a huge black snake that hangs around. I am sure that is the culprit.

The only predator I've had to deal with so far was a large black snake but I took care of that issue. Good luck and I hope you don't lose anymore!
