Itchy chicken scratching her feathers out?!....

So my one of my juvenile polish hens has been scratching her “Afro” and tearing her feathers out. It’s gotten so bad that she has to scratch it every couple of seconds and she looks very irritated. When I checked for mites she didn’t have any, and her Afro feathers were crusty and smelled of pus. None of the other hens have this problem and we don’t have any roosters. Please let me know what’s going on soon! Thank you

Pictures would help. Is there a wound that may be infected? Maybe an ingrown feather, causing a feather cyst?
