What do you think about this button quail? I had my first three born like a month ago, but accidentally killed 2 of them. Now my female died and I have only males. Hope I will have a girl here (It looks like, but are my first chicks, so I'm little confused haha.

I can't see the legs and don't know the breed but I see no comb at all so girl. Come back in a few weeks with more pics and I'll guess again. Quail? I'm in the wrong coop!

Button/King quail don't get combs, so not definite. From what I've seen/read, girls are usually brown, but at one month, this one might still change colours and get a more definite bib, which would mean boy. I have three browns and a tuxedo, and I suspect I have three boys and one girl.

Looks like a female to me. Unless you see a bib, red or blue, even pinkish feathers, it's a girl.
