Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
My button quail eggs weren't looking so good last week...none seemed viable. But today, 3 days before hatch...WE HAVE LIFE! I guess The chick inside was just in a bad position before, because I thought it was a quitter. today there is hope! I see the little guy moving, so hopefully we can get at least one of the 16 eggs to hatch.
