bring home some new ducks!!!

We, well DBF, loves to eat his way from one end to the other. We both enjoy the animal barns and the other local exhibits. Not into the rides or games.

What's your favorite part of the fair?

I love the Poultry barn (why do they always put the rabbits and the roosters together...? The rabbits have such big ears and the roosters never stop crowing!).

I also love to see the giant vegetables.

Fair food is especially yummy. Funnel cakes and deep fried candy bars, anyone?

Oh, ours is at the end of August-the Great New York State Fair!! Woot! It ought to be a riot to check out the poultry barn this year, now that I've got a vested interest. Can't wait to pig out on the blooming onions and funnel cakes, watch the parade and check out all the horse shows. And the rides.....love the rides especially with my nephews!

Our county fair just ended and I'm already jealous of you!

I lmiss that fair. Hours spent in the poultry barn... It's what got me into backyard chickens!

I know I have county dog show and horse show in yeriton and then state fair dog show and horse show and my whole fam is doing stuff.

Last year I tried a deep fried pickle and I liked it!!! Can't wait to have another. At the Lorain County fair (the last of the 3) they have a stand that sells a hamburger called an "Oh Boy" and oh boy are they good. DBF has one when we get there and another before we leave LOL. It's like a double burger with tarter sauce on it, lettuce, tomato, cheese...YUM!

It always works out great for me - I never have to buy food. Just take a few bites of whatever he's eating and I'm set for the night.

I only wish they would label all the breeds in the poultry barn. There's alot that I've never seen and we have no clue what they are.

I don't do fair rides. After working for four years at a major American amusement park, the safety of carnival rides trucked from place to place somewhat concerns me.

My fair thrills involve chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick.

Never had that but this year I think I'll have to try it!!! We don't do rides either. Takes away from the eating
