My newest chicken, either an australorp or blk jersey giant, has just introduced herself to my flock of 3 by tousling with my "top" pullet, an black orpington twice her size. And i think she won. The blk orp is now sulking in the dog pen making all kinds of angry noises. My Orp's best friend, a Sussex, has defected and is now trying to buddy up to the newest pullet. I dont know if she is confused because they look very similar or if she is just a little traitor. My third pullet, a barred rock, WAS the newest and most frequently bullied. She is just happy that she's no longer the new kid on the block. It's like high school all over again.

Yep, high school pretty much sums it up; especially come roost time.

Funny! So true. I have a sweet little EE that is always trying to jump on the roost with the four "popular girls." They peck at her till she jumps off. I wish they would let her in the click, she is so desperate to be popular!
