I've been gone awhile. My dh got really sick we lost our house and had to sell everything most of the horses including all my full bred ameracaunas. We gave away all our dogs and rented a house from a friend in town. I boarded one of my horses cowboy, just couldnot give my boy. Dh is better and is now back to work, we are planning on moving in october to a new place. I was able to get a va loan and found a small place outside of town with 3 acres. I have just gotten another horse, she was given to me by my friend who my other horse is boarded. I guess someone left her at the farm boarding and never came back last spring. So I train, give lessons and pay for my own feed and hay and help around the farm. I do have a full time job too, as a nurse which is just weekends which thank god kept us going til I could get us back on our feet.
I just wanted to say hello currently chickenless but my friend at the farm and I are planning to start with chickens. She has basic chickens and is now retiring and wants to start breeding ameracaunas and a couple other breeds. Her farm has been in the family for 4 generations in amish land in pa and with over 200 acres. Oh by the way dh surprised me this week with a blood hound red female puppy. She does not come home til october she is just 10 days old but am so excited. I cannot wait to start being in the country again and closer to my equine clan. Currently driving 30 min one way in the am to muck stalls is getting old.
Glad to be back here again.
