Its going to be 106-108 starting midweek and through the weekend. One hen sitting on 5 eggs in our insulated/ventilated barn seems to be ok. I asked hubby to go to the barn and see if any hens snuck eggs into her box while we were gone -- he didn't know that did NOT mean forcing her out so he could see. In the process an egg broke and a chick bled out and died

I seriously am making myself insane reading the advice for high heat. I don't have time to change their waters this weekend (I do 48 hour stretches, sleeping between). They will be lucky if I go down at noon or 3 to give them frozen jugs. I have to sleep between shifts. I bought a ceiling/wall mounted fan that will be here 6/23. I plan on aiming that at the 3 broodys. I hope they survive?? Eggs pretty much goners? :( I could not break my other 2 Broodies so decided to give them each 8, and I may reduce that number to 5-6 each. Any hope for the new set eggs? I plan on leaving the mister going all day and our hose drips which they LOVE. hub is going to put shade cloth over their run.

Did I miss something? I set the eggs today, I can always take them back ....
