I just set my third batch of eggs. My first batch was Black Australorp and a few Dominiques from a local lady, second batch was Ameraucana's shipped from a lady on here; none hatched from either batch. Which was partly my fault I believe because the incubator I bought wasn't running properly. Well I've got that fixed. I got DH to build me one...
So, I started out with 24 eggs and now I have 22 Black Australorp eggs in the bator. I put them in late on Friday, July 17 so I'm calling that day 0. With day 1 being July 18th!
Candled on day 7:
*One had a blood ring and one wasn't fertile.*
I have 12 Australorp chicks now and was really wanting a different breed but I get these so cheap from the lady and I just love the way that have the green shine...
If a lot of these hatch there will be some for sale.
I could use a hatch buddy...
