Pulled 6 Welsummer eggs from a broody this afternoon....replaced with 3 ( waiting on egg swap eggs that should be here tomorrow )..... 2 of my babies have pipped already - one had pipped under the mama, the other one just pipped a little bit ago! I can't wait for my egg swap pkg to come! So excited to see what I'll get!
Well, 4 of the 6 hatched, 1 pipped & died....there was a little blook on the egg, so I'm not sure what happened. 1 must have quit about a week ago. But - the exciting part, is these were from my own Welsummers - I started with 7 and only 1 did not develop! My rooster is doing his job!
