But I can't figure out what killed two hens. Left the feet, the wings and the inner carcass? Imagine a carcass picked for soup, with wings and feet, and that was what was left. I've never encountered something like this before. I'm familiar with racoons and neighborhood dogs, but not this. Any ideas?
 
i'm definitely not an expert, but try to read as much as possible. From what i've read, it may be a bird of prey or owl. i can imagine that with a beak they could pick out the parts they wanted. i would think an animal would rip and tear. Do you know what kind of predators you have in your area other than raccoons and dogs?

BTW - i am very sorry for your loss!
