Can ivermectin paste for horses be used on peafowl? One of my boys is sick and no place is open this evening where I can get ivermectin for goats. I did get him to swallow some water with apple cider vinegar. I'm so worried.

It seems I've read the paste can be put in a piece of bread, etc; and given to peafowl but it could have been paste for goats. Have you tried putting something like "horse paste ivermection peafowl" into the search window and see what comes up? I assume by now you'll have tried it or will be going to purchase the other this morning. Hope your pea is ok. I need to worm mine but have been putting it off until I can remove the foot pans of water they use to stay cool in this hot Texas summer.

Thanks for the advice, but it was too late. He didn't make it through the night. I am now on day two of Safeguard worming for the others. Do you worm yours every three months or every other month? I figure the weather in Texas is much like Alabama.

I only worm mine twice a year and switch between Safeguard and Ivermectin however am now confused due to conflicting information regarding Ivermecton mixing with water. They are due for a worming now but have been putting it off because of it being so hot. They stand in water pans to cool off. I took them away yesterday so will probably start tomorrow.

I'm so sorry you lost your peacock.
