Jan. 2022 Hatch-a-long

Great news about Noodle!🥰
I see you are also on the Feb hatch-along. Hopefully the next time will go better.❤️
Yes I’m excited for the next hatch. I got a better incubator so I’m 🙏 🤞 the Feb hatch will be better. Maybe God just wanted my flock’s genetics more diversified instead of all my chicks having the same rooster 🤷‍♀️ 😂

Thank you for that information, I wanted to get shipped eggs but I still don't feel confident with shipping services.

Hope more people can chime in on there experiences this year.
@Tonyroo im hatching my shipped eggs in the Feb hatch-a-long. So far I’ve pulled 3- 2 early quitters & 1 non starter. I’m keeping an eye on 2 but the rest are bouncing around great. I’m on day 9

I have one chick that I helped hatch this morning because she was shrink-wrapped. I applied olive oil instead of coconut oil because that is all I have at home at that moment. It seems like it takes her along time to dry out. She hatched at 3:45am. I left her in the incubator until 1pm same day (9 hours) but the humidity in there is too high (76%), so I took her to another running incubator I have now, and then 3 hours later moved to her brooder just now (4:15pm, 12ish hours after hatched).
Her hair looks dry to me but she doesn't fluff up, I guess it was because of all the oil.
Do any of you know how to help her? Or should I let her be?
The pics are her using her beak trying to dry herself now.
