Some questions on them. Love them to death, the rooster is an absolute DOLL! He is more like a wimpy lady, considering all the ladies pick on him, but hes trying.
7 weeks old or so

However, this is probably just the classic “perfect rooster, sweet and charming“ then when puberty hits he’s a total godzilla.

So i need to know, how awful are japanese roosters? I can’t find anything online. Do they mate alot? Do they crow alot? Are they aggressive to the ladies? (More then an average amount)

Any info is welcome! Thanks!

Before I ever kept a rooster I went to a county fair. They had a rooster that was crowing so much I went to take a look. "You think alot about yourself don't you?" I said to him. He was at the far side of his cage, he put down his wing in an answer, and danced towards me in a flirt. I was in love! I have had roosters ever since.

Thats awesome! I wish i could think the same. They crow to much all i want is one rooster that doesn’t crow over 300 times in one day (my other roosters have) starting at 3 am and ending at 12 at night.

And its so sad because i totally agree! They have such complex personality, its amazing! Each one so different.

The fella in my avatar is my Japanese Bantam rooster, Momo. He's great with the ladies. Tidbits, does the wing dance, I love it. Crows an average amount. Never been aggressive to any humans.

I do think it depends somewhat on individual personality.

Is the crowing loud?

Thank you!
