Japanese mixed Bantam

This is a Japanese mixed bantam that hatched under a broody, and I don't know for sure what breed or sex she is! Any ideas?
Feet color: Green
Skin Color: Pink
Comb type: Single comb
Comb size: reallY Small

It looks like a black tailed buff japanese pullet. Except japs need to have yellow legs to be showed and the legs are alittle long for a show jap. But she is a good pet quality pullet.
Japs are fun to raise, but hard to get good quality birds.

I have one just like her except all the black feathers are white. I am told Dr. Girlfiend's father was a black-tailed Japanese bantam chabo and her mother was a buff orpington. She is the most skittish and antisocial little girl. I hope yours is friendlier.

Yep, it looks like a pullet.

If you want to know the mix, can you tell us what other breeds were in the pen? That should help narrow it down.

Well I do have Buff Orpingtons in the pen, and I have some mixed japs and 2 white japs and a mixed jap roo and I have cochins some mixed cochins and some poilsh mixes and some other mixed roos! And there are 2 standard EE roos! That help any?

With those green legs, I would say you have an EE for her father. Her mom is obviously a Japanese of some variety. If you have other mixes in there though, you will be hard pressed to narrow it down completely.

Do I need to post more pics? I took plenty the other day!!!! Um, all my big chickens and bantams are all in the same pen so any number of roosters could have been her father!

So her dad is a EE roo and her mom a jap mix! I only have black tailed white and white japs, so do you think she could also be half Buff Orpington?? I bet thats were she got her buff color!

I don't think anyone can be sure without a paternity test

You have quite a mix of things going on already, I think you would be hard pressed to figure that one out. I will say, she is a lovely lady though.​
