Tried the search feature to no avail. I'm looking for a Java pair, and am curious to know if there are any breeders around here. What's going price for a pair? Anything REALLY important to know about these guys that isn't widely known?

I don't know where you are located but i live in southeast Texas and have seen a pure java 3 year old go for 300 dollars.

They do need a warmer place to stay in harsh winters because they can easly get frost bite.

I have a java pair I need to sell but I don't know what their value is, haha

Also my javas have thrived in the same conditions as their blue counterparts, they have been in rain, snow, freezing temps... as long as they have a dry draft-free place to stay (ours have a 8x10 tool-shed makeshift coop)

We move to PA from southern California in the Mojave... It did get quite hot but we put shade cloth over their pen and set up a mist system to use during the hottest part of the day.

See all i have ever heard on here was that they had to be kept in a warm enviorment when the weather gets to freezing
I read there are certain kind of guinea fowl that have to be kept in an enviroment above freezing.

Pretty cool to hear someone that owns them in an enviroment they are not supose to do well in.
