In the Brooder
So my young buff was recently hurt in a dog attack. Hurt or may have broken both of her legs. We brought her in at night for isolation to heal. For obvious reasons she got a lot of extra attention. We also recently got even younger baby chicks. Being in the same cage as the baby chicks seem to work out pretty well as she wasn't moving around too much or using her legs too much so we left her there. She seemed to be doing well with the little chickens for a few days. Until out of nowhere when I was putting one of the chicks she started pecking at all of them, so I pulled her out of the cage. She then made herself comfortable on my lap. Should I just keep them in separate cages next to each other? Will this continue to be an issue?
