I have a question concerning hens and there attachments to humans. Some of my hens are more cuddly than others and although the Top Hen, Cleo will let me hold her for a minute or so, she is really not as into it as some of the others. Late afternoon is my time to give them treats and have fun watching them. I have noticed, if I am cuddling one of the hens,, Cleo starts to slowly edge over towards me with her eyes on the one I am holding. If I am sitting down and don't say anything, she will jump on the hen being held in my arms, furious. If I am standing, and put the hen down, Cleo will go for her then. She is really very gentle and even when she is putting others in their place, doesn't peck them hard or really hurt them at all. If I am holding and petting my roo, its o.k. with her, apparently. What is this?
