Jefferson County Fair 2010 Poultry Show

Hi everyone,
I am the Poultry Dir. for the Jefferson County Fair in East Tn. Our fair dates for 2010 is July 29th-August 7th. The APA sanctioned Poultry Show is July 31st (Saturday).
Last year, our 1st year as an APA sanctioned show, we had 166 birds in our show. This year we are hoping for more. We will be taking pre-registration this year also.
If you live anywhere near East Tn. I would be happy to have you come by, show a bird or two or just visit. I had a banner made with sponsors of our show that I bought space for and had BYC put on it. Entry fee's are $1.00 per bird and a $1.00 clean up fee (no matter how many birds entered). I also ask that if you have birds for sale, that you bring a few. We have people looking for birds all the time.

About the show... I am new to the chicken world but am looking to show some of my birds. For the show do they have to be certified purebred chickens? and are ducks and geese and turkeys going to be shown there as well. If you could please let me know the answers to these questions that would be great.

Glad to see you back. I was thinking about you the other day.

Is this show open to bantams? Is the ABA involved as well as the APA? Those are all I have now.
