Anyone here live in Jefferson County WV that can tell me about the rules/regulations surrounding owning chickens? I live outside city limits, and a few people have told me I can have 6 chickens which is perfectly fine with me, but I'm having a hard time finding concrete info. Planning on calling the commissions office Monday if I'm still not 100% sure.

I know someone in a subdivision just outside of Shepherdstown has potbellied pigs in their backyard, so I don’t know why you couldn’t have a few hens there.

I know I’ve seen more than six chickens in people’s yards though…
