Jersey Giant comb color

The comb and waddle does not seem as bright a red as pictures I have seen. Is this a need for concern? We also found out that one of my giants is actually a rooster. Please excuse our mess. We are currently building a new chicken yard.

Fibromelanosis is not a JG characteristic. My guess is silkie or Ayam Cemani crosses Where did you get these birds?

We ordered our Jersey giants from Murray mcmurray hatchery. All 10 of our giants look like this. And one turned out to be a rooster.

One of our chickens has traces of black on their comb. Are those the only chickens like that?

Also they are 9 weeks old.
