Us too, even though she is going thru that ugly phase, I think she'll be a looker for sure. We had to give up our Jersey roo about a week ago and I don't know if these will be the only 2 we hatch or if we will try a few more of the eggs before they become infertile. We are trying to lean more to the bantam birds right now and it's a tough call!

I would hatch some more of them if I were you. But I am Also trying for larger birds. I just got a Jersey Giant Roo is the reason I orginally asked the Question. I Have put him in with some Brahma mix Hens.

I don't know a lot about brahmas but it should be interesting. Our roo at 8 months was 12.5 pounds and we thought it would be a good mix with the buffs since our buffs were pretty big too, however, in comparison, they were all small to him. Just be prepared for bare backs, bloody combs and missing head feathers. Elvis was young and eager!!!

I Just Had to move an EE Roo that was too rough on the hens. So far the Jersey Giant has been pretty good with the Brahma Mixes. I have only had him for a Day. The Brahma Mix hens are pretty big but are small compared to him. I think the Babies from that mix ought to be pretty.

I dont have a picture of them but I have two that are jg crossed with either a rir rooster. They look like they will be huge. the are only a couple weeks old now. I also had a number of JG crossed on a blue orp roo, I sold them they were awesome looking birds I sold them for a very good price. You will not be disappointed with any JG cross.

Thank you for the reply. I can't wait till I can hatch some eggs from my JG Roo and Brahma Mix.
